What it is
The Little Souls have two vocations under one fellowship. The Little Souls scatter roses — one Hail Mary for a soul, before you scroll. The Dovecote keeps the time of prayer. It is a place in the Little Souls for those who keep a little time with God each day: mental prayer, the way St. Teresa of Ávila and St. John of the Cross taught it, learned door by door in a room of your own.
The name is Teresa’s. She called her small houses of prayer “these little dovecots of the Virgin our Lady.” John of the Cross wrote that “the little white dove is the soul.” A dovecote is a house for doves — small, hidden, and full of them.

What you receive
One door a day
The school of mental prayer, taught door by door — how the saints think in prayer, what the heart does with it, the way through the desert, and the friendship it was all for. A door is ten to fifteen quiet minutes.
A room of your own
Your hermitage — a painted room where the prayer happens, kept in the app’s Inner Room. The Gospel is prayed from inside its scenes, with the souls you carry laid on the mat beside you.
A bell, and a book
A bell for the morning door and the night door — Teresa’s two times, kept by the app’s reminders. And the pressed book: every time kept, in your own hand, seen by no one.
Teresa’s four lines

The emblem
The dove in the cleft of the rock
“My dove in the clefts of the rock, in the hollow places of the wall” (Canticle of Canticles 2:14, Douay-Rheims). The dove is small and the rock is large: the hiddenness is the whole image.

The same verse in the Vulgate’s Latin — “my dove in the clefts of the rock.” The Little Souls’ seal speaks Latin too; the two marks are one family.
No crown, no rays, no branch
Noah’s dove carries an olive branch; this one carries nothing and rests. The mark names the place, never the person — it is seen inside the app by the one who entered, and by no one else.
What it asks of you — and what it doesn’t
Nothing is vowed. One intention, entrusted to Mary at the door. Miss a day, and Teresa says take another.
Free, forever. Entering is free and the time of prayer is never paid for. The Little Way app has an optional premium year that opens the whole school; the Dovecote is never one of the things it sells.
Honestly framed. The Dovecote is a private devotional fellowship inside the Little Way app — not an order, not a third order, not a canonically erected association. Teresa’s nuns and John’s friars are named here as what they were; you are invited into their way of prayer, not their vows.
