In diébus illis: Orávit Dániel Dóminum, dicens: Dómine, Deus noster, qui eduxísti pópulum tuum de terra Ægýpti in manu forti, et fecísti tibi nomen secúndum diem hanc; peccávimus, iniquitátem fécimus, Dómine, in omnem justítiam tuam: avertátur, óbsecro, ira tua et furor tuus a civitáte tua Jerúsalem et monte sancto tuo. Propter peccáta enim nostra et iniquitátes patrum nostrórum. Jerúsalem et pópulus tuus in oppróbrium sunt ómnibus per circúitum nostrum.
Nunc ergo exáudi, Deus noster, oratiónem servi tui et preces ejus: et osténde fáciem tuam super sanctuárium tuum, quod desértum est, propter temetípsum. Inclína, Deus meus, aurem tuam, et audi: áperi óculos tuos, et vide desolatiónem nostram et civitátem, super quam invocátum est nomen tuum: neque enim in justificatiónibus nostris prostérnimus preces ante fáciem tuam, sed in miseratiónibus tuis multis. In those days, Daniel prayed to the Lord, saying, O Lord our God, Who brought forth Your people out of the land of Egypt with a strong hand, and made for Yourself a name as at this day: we have sinned, we have committed iniquity, O Lord, against all Your justice: let Your wrath and Your indignation be turned away, I beseech You, from Your city Jerusalem and from Your holy mountain. For by reason of our sins and the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all who are round about us. Now therefore, O our God, hear the supplication of Your servant and his prayers: and show Your face upon Your sanctuary which is desolate, for Your own sake.
Incline, O my God, Your ear and hear: open Your eyes and see our desolation, and the city upon which Your name is called: for it is not for our justifications that we present our prayers before Your face, but for the multitude of Your tender mercies. O Lord, hear: O Lord, be appeased: hearken and do: delay not for Your own sake, O my God: because Your name is invocated upon Your city and upon Your people, O Lord our God.

You are of this world, I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sin. They therefore said to Him, Who are You? Jesus said to them, Why do I speak to you at all? I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you; but He Who sent Me is true, and the things that I heard from Him, these I speak in the world.
And they did not understand that He was speaking to them about the father. Jesus therefore said to them, When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that of Myself I do nothing; but that I preach only what the Father has taught Me. And He Who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, because I do always the things that are pleasing to Him.
