Ps 16:1

Exáudi, Dómine, justítiam meam: inténde deprecatiónem meam.

v. Thou hast proved my heart, and visited it by night, thou hast tried me by fire: and iniquity hath not been found in me.

Amen.

Stir up with thy Church O Lord, the spirit which blessed Laurence the Deacon served, that we too, being filled with the same, may strive to love what he loved, and to fulfill with deed what he taight.

Through Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the same Holy Ghost, God, world without end.

Amen.

2 Cor 9:6-10

Lesson from the second letter of St. Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians

v. Thou hast made him a little less than the angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honour: and hast set him over the works of thy hands.

V. The Levite Lawrence wrought a good work, who by the sign of the Cross, gave sight to the blind. Alleluia.

John 12:24-26

Continuation + of the Holy Gospel according to John

Amen.

We ask O lord, that the holy prayers of blessed Laurence may commend our sacrifice to thee through the merits of him, in whose honor it is solemnly offered.

Through Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end.

Amen.

Matt 16:24

Qui vult veníre post me, ábneget semetípsum, et tollat crucem suam, et sequátur me.

v. If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Amen.

We humbly beseech thee Almighty God, at the intercession of blessed Laurence thy Martyr, ever to guard by thy protection those whom thou hast filled with these heavenly gifts.

Through Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end.

Amen.
